Words of Michelle
I have always enjoyed writing, it is a talent that I possess, and I decided to put it to good use by constructing stage plays. In the past I have written plays for other people, and I think that it is my time to spread my wings into the theatre arena by promoting my own work. I percieve the stage as a platform for demonstrating the art and talent of individuals who has the potential to make things look real in front of a live audience. Acting is not just learning lines, it consist of being able to make your spectators believe that what they are seeing is real at that time. It combines deep involvement of your verbal, physical, mental, and psychological aspects when you are performing. People should be able to feel your every emotion whether it's pain, sorrow, happiness, love, anger, fright and the list goes on. If you the actor cannot execute such reality then you defeat the purpose of being on stage in the first place.
In addition, I love working with people who have blazing passion for acting. Anyone who places emphasis on punctuality, diligence, commitment, devotion and teamwork within a cast will always succeed through his or her acting career, and that is a fact that cannot be denied. Overall, my hope is to promote and expand local Caribbean theatre throughout the United States and abroad. I want more than ever to bring people of many different ethnic groups under one umbrella of positive entertainment. Be sure to look out for my play "A Mother's Scorn" coming soon to a location near you. Thank you for your tremendous support always.
